Ford orders advanced training for Braintech's VGR software platform.

Braintech Inc. (OTC-BB: BRHI), announced today Ford Motor Company has ordered advanced training for Braintech's Vision Guided Robotics, ("VGR") software platform called "eVF(TM)". Braintech offers 3 levels of end-user training L1 through L3 and this order is for multiple units of the L2 and L3 curriculum. L2 provides operators of a VGR system with a comprehensive skill set that ensures smooth and continual operations. L3 provides control technicians with the skills necessary to do regular maintenance and troubleshoot a VGR system.

Owen Jones, CEO of Braintech states, "We have a number of VGR systems in Ford powertrain plants that are performing engine head handling and assembly operations. Not only did we develop the technology necessary for these operations to work but we also developed a platform that provides a commonality for all VGR systems. The training Ford has ordered not only provides the skills necessary to manage the existing systems but is transferable to any other VGR system developed with eVF."

Jones explains, "I like to use Adobe(TM) and their product Photoshop(TM) as an example. Our goal is to have our product adopted as a standard, just as Adobe did. In Adobe's case it was photo systems, in our case, VGR systems. Our key objective is to establish a strong connection within the user community and this includes design and control process engineers as well as technicians and operators." Jones adds, "VGR training is a fundamental element in winning user support and in creating the critical mass required to become the standard for VGR systems worldwide."
