WA:Car rammed, man bashed in road rage attack

PERTH, Aug 10 AAP - A 42-year-old man has been left with serious facial injuries after
being bashed in a Perth road rage attack in which a car was repeatedly rammed from behind.

Police say the man had been a passenger in a car driven by a female friend, who also
had her four-year-old daughter in the car when the attack happened on the Roe Highway
in Perth's south around 7pm (WST) on Sunday.

A gold Ford sedan began ramming the car from behind and the woman had pulled over onto
the side of the road, believing they were in danger of a serious crash.

When the male friend got out of the car to speak to the driver of the Ford, which had
also pulled over, he was punched in the face several times and knocked to the ground.

The offender continued to assault the man before he managed to escape, police said.

He was taken to Swan District Hospital with serious facial injuries and will require
ongoing medical treatment, a spokesman said.

Police appealed to anyone with information about the incident to contact Crime Stoppers
