Toyota considers Tennessee for engine plant.

Dec. 1--Tennessee reportedly is on Toyota's radar for a new engine plant, and a Chattanooga official said Enterprise South Industrial Park could hold such a facility as well as an assembly operation.

"There's enough property where it could," said Trevor Hamilton, the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce's vice president for economic development.

Toyota spokesman Dan Sieger on Wednesday said the company is considering sites for an engine plant, though he wouldn't name locations.

"I can't disclose where they are," Mr. Sieger said.
